The film is an adaptation of the award-winning illustrated children’s book WE THE PEOPLE: The United States Constitution Explored and Explained (Quarto Publishing Group), co-authored by Aura Lewis and Evan Sargent.

This incredible book was awarded the 2021 EUREKA! Nonfiction Children’s Honor Book, the 2021 Notable Social Studies Trade Book Award, and was named a “must-have book” by PopSugar.

The film will feature all of the fresh, whimsical illustrations from the book by renowned illustrator Aura Lewis.
